Pottery doesn't end when the pots are made. You have to select which ones will go to which venue for the right clientele and the right price points. Then they need to be packed, drive to the store, haul them into the store and work with the store owner/manager. Then hope that they sell, that it gets recorded, and that you get a cheque sometime in the near future.
It is really an exercise in faith I think and I just came back from McNally Robinson at Grant Park, who got my biggest and best from the last kiln. Hope they find new homes fast.
