Mother's Day Review

Nobody said it was going to be all roses, or even any roses.  why did I think that mother's day would click in with a six year old boy, and that there might be a card or a wish for a happy mother's day from my little guy.  One of the challenges of single parenting without other family around, is there is no one to teach him about doing things for me. Usually that is fine, but sometimes, I find it hard to just say, I need to take the high road and teach him about giving to others and to heck with Mama.  Feeling a little worn down.
Our other happening over the weekend was of family illness, the small circle shrinking.  Still trying to wait patiently to hear what it happening, or what doctors think will be happening.  So many other tasks that I should be attending to may not be attended to this month or next.  Priorizing, and re priorizing, feeling like a juggler with too many balls in the air and a kleenex in my hands for the tears that are ever present right now.

Hard days ahead, and choices to make.
(from Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire)
yes, we are now on film 4 and trying to make sense of it to a six year old verbose child.

Nancy I feel for you. Mother's Day is hard for me too - for a different reason. It's tough sometimes. Hang in there.
