Opening the first glaze firing in the kiln

Well so far not too bad, need to practice with these glazes, all the black is thin and will have to be painted and fired again.  the pink needs to be sieved, and I picked up a new milky white yesterday to work with.  Onward ho!  Festival is only a few weeks away  and I need to get things over to the big kiln too.  Never a dull moment.Posted by Picasa

In the Blues

It seems I continue to be working in the blues as evidenced in these photos. Softer, muted and varied tones with the odd bit of cafe au lait thrown in on the hosta leaf soap plate, but little by little there is new work to take to the sales and put in the stores and Etsy. Hope you see something that makes you smile. Enjoy the whiteness of the snow outside too, even if it is a little blinding.
