Here we are, first week of October and I want to make work that should take two months on a full times basis in the next three weeks. I am hoping of course for miracles like a cooperative child at bedtime, a strong back and core, and a kiln with space to fire my pots.
This is asking a lot, and in October the demand for kiln space is premium. I am extremely glad that as we speak I am firing my own kiln here at home. A new ochre glaze and blue green pots, soup bowls, wine tumblers and large serving bowls in this firing. I am able to augment my colours and produce some pots when I need to.
